Gas-insulated substations present unique challenges as well as unique opportunities. EUCI’s GIS conference will address regulatory, technical and business issues for these substations. Participants will learn about GIS technology, current design trends and maintenance solutions.
Conference attendees also can visit Seattle City Light’s Union and Denny substations. Denny is a POWER Engineers electrical design project that has set a standard for other cities to follow when using GIS to increase load while adhering to esthetic requirements in an urban environment.
Join Renan Pedersen, POWER substation engineer, as he shares his knowledge and experience during his presentation from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., Thursday, February 21: “GIS for Enhanced Substation Reliability.”
Renan will also moderate a panel discussion from 3:45 – 5:15 p.m., Wednesday, February 20: GIS Hot Topics Q&A. This panel presents an opportunity to pose GIS questions to industry experts.
POWER is pleased to sponsor this event. Visit the EUCI GIS event site to view the agenda, download the event brochure and register for the conference.
