POWER is providing Owner’s Engineer services to a major investor-owned utility for a project that will result in the construction of approximately 850 miles of 500 kV, five miles of 345 kV, and 300 miles of 230 kV transmission line across two western states. As Owner’s Engineer, POWER is responsible for engineering and design to support the environmental permitting process; preliminary engineering; geotechnical studies; aerial and ground design and legal surveys; preparation of EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) packages for construction, preparation of project cost estimates, and project administration. POWER is also responsible for the development of EPC specifications for the construction of three new substations and modifications to five existing substations. We are assisting in the process of obtaining environmental permits and completing the initial engineering for the project. The draft Environmental Impact Statement has been released for public comment with BLM as the federal lead agency.
