600 kV HVDC Transmission Line

POWER is performing Owner’s Engineer services for the development of more than 725 miles of ±600 kV HVDC transmission line capable of transmitting 3,000 MW of power across several western states. The project is in its permitting and preliminary engineering stages. POWER is responsible for preliminary engineering to support project development and engineering support to the routing, siting and environmental permitting.

POWER is also the lead electrical engineer with responsibility for technical liaison for the HVDC vendors, coordination/performance of electrical studies, and development of specifications. POWER has provided assistance in drafting the BLM Plan of Development, strategic consulting on environmental planning, and landowner identification.
