Client: U.S. Trade and Development Agency
In the aftermath of Haiti’s catastrophic earthquake of January 2010, POWER identified priority projects to immediately assist with restoration and rehabilitation of the country’s electric power system. POWER performed an update to the previously submitted Electricite d’Haiti (EDH) 2007 Technical Assistance for the Electricity Generation, Transmission and Distribution Project feasibility study for the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). POWER prioritized repair, rehabilitation, reconstruction, and upgrade projects for existing generation, transmission, and distribution systems. POWER also developed and prioritized new investment projects for generation, transmission, and distribution. Delta Electric was subcontracted to support in-country field surveys and environmental analysis. Taylor-DeJongh was subcontracted to support economic and financial analyses.
